2009 H1N1 Flu
What is 2009 H1N1 (swine flu)?
2009 H1N1 (sometimes called “swine flu”) is a new influenza virus causing illness in people. This new virus was first detected in people in the United States in April 2009. This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide, probably in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. On June 11, 2009, the World Health OrganizationExternal Web Site Icon (WHO) signaled that a pandemic of 2009 H1N1 flu was underway.
H1N1 Influenza virus imageWhy is 2009 H1N1 virus sometimes called “swine flu”?
This virus was originally referred to as “swine flu” because laboratory testing showed that many of the genes in this new virus were very similar to influenza viruses that normally occur in pigs (swine) in North America. But further study has shown that this new virus is very different from what normally circulates in North American pigs. It has two genes from flu viruses that normally circulate in pigs in Europe and Asia and bird (avian) genes and human genes. Scientists call this a "quadruple reassortant" virus.
2009 H1N1 Flu in Humans
Are there human infections with 2009 H1N1 virus in the U.S.?
Yes. Human infections with 2009 H1N1 are ongoing in the United States. Most people who have become ill with this new virus have recovered without requiring medical treatment.
CDC routinely works with states to collect, compile and analyze information about influenza, and has done the same for the new H1N1 virus since the beginning of the outbreak. This information is presented in a weekly report, called FluView.
Is 2009 H1N1 virus contagious?
The 2009 H1N1 virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human.
How does 2009 H1N1 virus spread?
Spread of 2009 H1N1 virus is thought to occur in the same way that seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing by people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something – such as a surface or object – with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
Can I get 2009 H1N1 more than once? Nov 5
Getting infected with any influenza virus, including 2009 H1N1, should cause your body to develop immune resistance to that virus so it's not likely that a person would be infected with the identical influenza virus more than once. (However, people with weakened immune systems might not develop full immunity after infection and might be more likely to get infected with the same influenza virus more than once.) However, it's also possible that a person could have a positive test result for flu infection more than once in an influenza season. This can occur for two reasons:
1. A person may be infected with different influenza viruses (for example, the first time with 2009 H1N1 and the second time with a regular seasonal flu virus. Most rapid tests cannot distinguish which influenza virus is responsible for the illness. And,
2. Influenza tests can occasionally give false positive and false negative results so it's possible that one of the test results were incorrect. This is more likely to happen when the diagnosis is made with the rapid flu tests. More information about flu diagnosis is available at http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/diagnosis/.
What are the signs and symptoms of this virus in people?
The symptoms of 2009 H1N1 flu virus in people include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea. People may be infected with the flu, including 2009 H1N1 and have respiratory symptoms without a fever. Severe illnesses and deaths have occurred as a result of illness associated with this virus.
How severe is illness associated with 2009 H1N1 flu virus?
Illness with 2009 H1N1 virus has ranged from mild to severe. While most people who have been sick have recovered without needing medical treatment, hospitalizations and deaths from infection with this virus have occurred.
In seasonal flu, certain people are at “high risk” of serious complications. This includes people 65 years and older, children younger than five years old, pregnant women, and people of any age with certain chronic medical conditions. About 70 percent of people who have been hospitalized with this 2009 H1N1 virus have had one or more medical conditions previously recognized as placing people at “high risk” of serious seasonal flu-related complications. This includes pregnancy, diabetes, heart disease, asthma and kidney disease.
Young children are also at high risk of serious complications from 2009 H1N1, just as they are from seasonal flu. And while people 65 and older are the least likely to be infected with 2009 H1N1 flu, if they get sick, they are also at “high risk” of developing serious complications from their illness. See People at High Risk of Developing Flu-Related Complications for more information about who is more likely to get flu complications that result in being hospitalized and occasionally result in death.
CDC laboratory studies have shown that no children and very few adults younger than 60 years old have existing antibody to 2009 H1N1 flu virus; however, about one-third of adults older than 60 may have antibodies against this virus. It is unknown how much, if any, protection may be afforded against 2009 H1N1 flu by any existing antibody.
How does 2009 H1N1 flu compare to seasonal flu in terms of its severity and infection rates?
With seasonal flu, we know that seasons vary in terms of timing, duration and severity. Seasonal influenza can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Each year, in the United States, on average 36,000 people die from flu-related complications and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu-related causes. Of those hospitalized, 20,000 are children younger than 5 years old. Over 90% of deaths and about 60 percent of hospitalization occur in people older than 65.
When the 2009 H1N1 outbreak was first detected in mid-April 2009, CDC began working with states to collect, compile and analyze information regarding the 2009 H1N1 flu outbreak, including the numbers of confirmed and probable cases and the ages of these people. The information analyzed by CDC supports the conclusion that 2009 H1N1 flu has caused greater disease burden in people younger than 25 years of age than older people. At this time, there are relatively fewer cases and deaths reported in people 65 years and older, which is unusual when compared with seasonal flu. However, pregnancy and other previously recognized high risk medical conditions from seasonal influenza appear to be associated with increased risk of complications from this 2009 H1N1. These underlying conditions include asthma, diabetes, suppressed immune systems, heart disease, kidney disease, neurocognitive and neuromuscular disorders and pregnancy.
How long can an infected person spread this virus to others?
People infected with seasonal and 2009 H1N1 flu shed virus and may be able to infect others from 1 day before getting sick to 5 to 7 days after. This can be longer in some people, especially children and people with weakened immune systems and in people infected with the new H1N1 virus.

student loans and financial aids
Student loans are loans offered to students to assist in payment of the costs of professional education. These loans usually carry a lower interest rate than other loans and are usually issued by the government. Often they are supplemented by student grants which do not have to be repaid. Students that have taken out loans in the 80's at extrememly high interest rates can not refinance their loans.

What is foreclosure auctions?
When the entity (in the US, typically a county sheriff or designee) auctions a foreclosed property the noteholder may set the starting price as the remaining balance on the mortgage loan. However, there are a number of issues that affect how pricing for properties is considered, including bankruptcy rulings. In a weak market the foreclosing party may set the starting price at a lower amount if it believes the real estate securing the loan is worth less than the remaining principal of the loan.
In the case where the remaining mortgage balance is higher than the actual home value the foreclosing party is unlikely to attract auction bids at this price level. A house that went through a foreclosure auction and failed to attract any acceptable bids may remain the property of the owner of the mortgage. That inventory is called REO (real estate owned). In these situations the owner/servicer tries to sell it through standard real estate channels

What is foreclusure?
Foreclosure is the legal and professional proceeding in which a mortgagee, or other lien holder, usually a lender, obtains a court ordered termination of a mortgagor's equitable right of redemption. Usually a lender obtains a security interest from a borrower who mortgages or pledges an asset like a house to secure the loan. If the borrower defaults and the lender tries to repossess the property, courts of equity can grant the borrower the equitable right of redemption if the borrower repays the debt. While this equitable right exists, the lender cannot be sure that it can successfully repossess the property, thus the lender seeks to foreclose the equitable right of redemption. Other lien holders can also foreclose the owner's right of redemption for other debts, such as for overdue taxes, unpaid contractors' bills or overdue homeowners' association dues or assessments.
The foreclosure process as applied to residential mortgage loans is a bank or other secured creditor selling or repossessing a parcel of real property (immovable property) after the owner has failed to comply with an agreement between the lender and borrower called a "mortgage" or "deed of trust". Commonly, the violation of the mortgage is a default in payment of a promissory note, secured by a lien on the property. When the process is complete, the lender can sell the property and keep the proceeds to pay off its mortgage and any legal costs, and it is typically said that "the lender has foreclosed its mortgage or lien". If the promissory note was made with a recourse clause then if the sale does not bring enough to pay the existing balance of principal and fees the mortgagee can file a claim for a deficiency judgement.

The two types of foreclosure
The mortgage holder can usually initiate foreclosure at a time specified in the mortgage documents, typically some period of time after a default condition occurs. Within the United States and many other countries, several types of foreclosure exist. Two of them – namely, by judicial sale and by power of sale – are widely used, but other modes of foreclosure are also possible in a few states.
Foreclosure by judicial sale, more commonly known as Judicial Foreclosure, is available in every state and required in many, involves the sale of the mortgaged property under the supervision of a court, with the proceeds going first to satisfy the mortgage; then other lien holders; and, finally, the mortgagor/borrower if any proceeds are left. As with all other legal actions, all parties must be notified of the foreclosure, but notification requirements vary significantly from state to state. A judicial decision is announced after pleadings at a (usually short) hearing in a state or local court. In some fairly rare instances, foreclosures are filed in Federal courts.
Foreclosure by power of sale, which is also allowed by many states if a power of sale clause is included in the mortgage or if a Deed of trust was used instead of a mortgage. In some states so-called mortgages are actually deeds of trust. This process involves the sale of the property by the mortgage holder without court supervision. It is generally more expedient than foreclosure by judicial sale. As in judicial sale, the mortgage holder and other lien holders are respectively first and second claimants to the proceeds from the sale.
Other types of foreclosure are considered minor because of their limited availability. Under strict foreclosure, which is available in a few states including Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont, suit is brought by the mortgagee and if successful, a court orders the defaulted mortgagor to pay the mortgage within a specified period of time. Should the mortgagor fail to do so, the mortgage holder gains the title to the property with no obligation to sell it. This type of foreclosure is generally available only when the value of the property is less than the debt ("under water"). Historically, strict foreclosure was the original method of foreclosure

what is a mortgage ?
A mortgage is an agreement to give up an interest in something if you fail to perform some duty. In many cases, it means that you'll give up your home if you fail to repay your home loan as agreed. You can use mortgage as a verb, meaning "to pledge".
Mortgage and "home loan" are often used interchangeably. However, the mortgage is really the agreement that makes your home loan work -- the bank wouldn't lend you hundreds of thousands of dollars unless they knew they could claim your home in the event of your default
Most of us are accustomed to calling our home loan a mortgage, but that isn't an accurate definition of the term. A mortgage is not a loan, and it is not something that the lender gives you. It is a security instrument that you give to the lender, a document that protects the lender's interests in your property
*A mortgage document creates a lien on the property, which serves as a lender's security for the debt. The lien is recorded in public records, probably at your county courthouse.
*Ownership cannot be transferred to someone else until you pay the debt to release the lien.
*Even if your loan is secured by a mortgage, you still have full title to the property. No one else has rights of ownership.
*A mortgage gives the lender the right to sell the secured property to recover funds if you do not pay the debt. The sales process is called foreclosure.
*When a mortgage is used for security, foreclosure must usually progress through the court system. That type of foreclosure is called a judicial foreclosure.

We were debating with sum people about this topic while drinking beer.
"Ladies going out with a black dude is not gonna be the same"
Do you agree or disagree.
I have to agree because.
Just like a shirt, if your fat and you suppose top wear an XXXL and you wore a meduim, the shirt not gonna be same after your fat friend returns it.
Same with pair of shoes. Those lacoste shoes were not design for people who have wide feet. After your friend return the shoes , they will not be the same.
Same with a car , you might have to take the car back to the toyota dealership for alignment.

SWINE FLU EPEDIMIC - the business side
Business people are cashing in on the swine flu epidemic that is spreading throughout the world. The epedimic is causing panic which lead to a demand of mask. Companies that are producing mask are getting high orders for the last few days.
Some people are in game of domain name flipping game. One lucky dude made a lot of money on the swineflu.com url. It was not disclose how much was the amount that he received from his url. At this moment this is just a breaking news.
Maybe in the future i get lucky because I have few domain name in my inventory. To get started they accept credit card. You can buy the domain name from godaddy.com they cost under $10.00 and you have the option to keep private the name and address of the domain owner for $8.00. Sometimes you might need to keep your info private because there are website that gives out info of owners name and address.
SWINE FLU EPEDIMIC
Experts are stumped and very nervous about the current swine flu outbreak, the Wall Street Journal reports. The previously unknown flu strain, which has killed up to 68 in Mexico and infected eight Americans, is doing two new things: passing from person to person, and mixing viruses in a new way. The World Health Organization has asked an expert panel to determine whether a global pandemic is at hand.
Called A/H1N1, the new strain combines North American swine- and bird-flu viruses, a human-flu virus, and parts of pig-flu viruses seen in Asia and Europe. Its symptoms—nausea, vomiting, fever, among others—resemble those of a common human flu. It is also sensitive to medications like Tamiflu and Relenza. But experts say the novel bug resembles bird-flu viruses that caused pandemics in Asia in 1957 and Hong Kong in 1968.

New York City increase subway fares is now $2.50 from $2.00 yo'all.
When i was a boy, subway and bus fare were only a nickel. I went to college in Manhattan and worked there also. I would like to retire in a place that has a nice wheather all year round.
Im in a blogging mode, I just got home from Starbucks in Howard Beach. I know, Im gonna pay for this coffee high later open when i try to go to sleep.
New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), which is a public benefit corporation responsible for public transportation in the state of New York, passed by a nearly unanimous vote Wednesday a so-called "doomsday plan" to raise fares, cut service and cut nearly 1,000 transit employees' jobs.
New approved rates passed today March 25, 2009 effective May 31, 2009
Subway and Bus fares is $2.50 from $2.00.
Seven-day passes is 31 from 25,
14-day passes is 59 to 47
30-day MetroCards is 103 from 81
Tolls for Tunnels and Bridges are not yet announced.
Besides the rate increase:
Some subway lines will be eliminated and others will be shortened.
Bus lines in all five boroughs will be cut and there will be cuts to the transit workforce, including the elimination of some station agents.
Not only bus and subway fares will increased but
Tolls on MTA bridges and tunnels will rise, as will fares for commuter rail lines.
We all know that New York City is a mafia. When you leave or enter the state you will have to pay tolls in bridges and tunnels. NY city has a headlock on its residents as well as millions visitors. When I go to Manhattan, I usually go to 3 different locations and its just Starbucks ,this is gonna cost me $15.00 from $12.00. I will not take the cab anymore but i will definately walk now which is good exercise. They still haven't mention the new rates for tolls and bridges .What can we do. Lets just hope the MTA will do an excellent job in scheduling the trains where waiting time will not be longer.

Circuit City will close after January 16 2009 due to bancrupcy.
Circuit City, the biggest tech chain in the US will liquidate its merchandise and close all 567 remaining stores after 60 years in business. It will layoff more than 30,000 employess. Circuit City Stores Inc. has hired a quartet of liquidators to sell off its existing merchandise, pending a green light from the courts. If everything goes according to plan, the fire sale will start Saturday and continue through the end of March.
Typically, closeout sales are final: no refunds or exchanges, so think twice before snapping up a big-ticket item like an HDTV. Also, keep in mind that closeout prices often aren't as rock-bottom low as you'd think; make sure to comparison shop online, and don't be fooled by big "75% OFF!" signs on items that have been marked up.
So what happens to warranties on electronics bought from Circuit city? you need to email circuit city and find out. They should be able to honor those warranties
Usually, If a retailer goes out of business, the consumer may be able to rely on the manufacturer’s warranty. If a manufacturer goes out of business, the consumer may be able to rely on any warranties provided by the retailer. Many extended warranties and service plans are provided and administered by third parties and are typically not affected by a retailer or manufacturer going bust.
New York City is visited by 47 million for 2008
An estimated 47 million people visited the city in 2008, beating last year by 1 million visitors, Those tourists generated $30 billion in spending, setting another record over last year's $28.9 billion.
But the 2 percent increase is smaller than the jumps seen in previous years. Last year, the total visitor number was 46 million, up nearly 5 percent from 44 million in 2006
One in nine workers in New York City are employed in the hospitality industry, which is one of the city's chief economic engines. Those include jobs in hotels, restaurants, museums and theaters
The city said visitors from abroad accounted for the entire increase in total visitors this year. A total of 9.8 million of the 47 million visitors were international. But that growth is slowing as well.

debt cures- how to get out of debt- low rate credit cards
The key points in getting out of credit problem is to find a low rate credit card.
* Unpaid credit card balances are the worst kind of debt. Come up with a plan for paying these off, and make it a priority.
* Your goal should be to carry only one or two credit cards with balances paid in full every month.
Now that you have a sense of "good debt" and "bad debt," you might be worrying about one thing: that you have way too much of the bad stuff! (Or maybe not: if you're keeping the bad debt to a minimum, give yourself a pat on the back.)
If you're like many people, though, you're staring at a big pile of credit card debt that is costing you plenty in monthly payments. Not to worry, though, because in this lesson we're going to talk about how you can pay that debt down, and keep your credit card use under control in the future.
Pay Down That Credit Debt
It won't be enough, however, to just make minimum monthly payment.
1. Stop spending money like you free money. Think how are you going to pay all these at the end of the month. For example get a certified used care insted of a new one. Car monthy payments and insurance can take a big part of your paycheck.
2. Shop around for low rate credit card.
3. Always pay more than the minimum. The credit card companies are not just being nice when they require only a small minimum payment on your total balance. They calculate this minimum to extend your payments for as long as possible, to boost their profits. Scrimp if you need to, and pay as much as you can above the minimum every month.
4. Plan your attack. Don't just throw yourself at a mountain of debt without preparation. How many cards do you have? What interest rates do they charge? Which have the highest balances? Write down your balances for each card, and their interest rates. (There's space in the workbook for this.)
Generally, you'll want to start by paying off the card with the highest rate first, and then the next highest, and so on. If you want a quick boost, go ahead and pay off a card with a low balance, just to have one paid-off card under your belt.
5. Reduce the interest rate. Most credit cards charge anywhere from 16% to 20%, which is huge! But you can negotiate with your credit card company for a lower rate. Particularly if you've had any of your cards for a while, take advantage of being a faithful customer, and call them up to demand a lower rate. Shoot for 11% or 12%. You'd be surprised at how easy it is.
6. Consolidate your debts. OK, so you know what the interest rates and outstanding balances are for each of your cards, and you've reduced the rate on at least some of them. Next, consider combining your debts onto one or two of your lowest rate cards, if you've got some credit room on them. (If you're maxed out on those cards, then forget it.) Simply call your lender and ask how to transfer funds.
If you're making payments well above the minimum, have reduced the interest rates on your cards, and have consolidated your debt, then you're in good shape with your credit card debt.
How Many Cards Are Enough?
In the end, your goal is to carry only one or two credit cards, and pay off the balances each month. If you've gotten carried away and have five, six, or more cards, consider the benefits of closing out most of them:
* Simplicity. Fewer cards will be easier to track. In addition, you'll have a much better sense of your overall debt level when it's on one or two cards, rather than spread across a bunch of them.
* Better credit record. You'll want to have at least one credit card to help build your credit history. If you're married, your spouse should have at least one card in his or her name only, for the same reason. Too many cards can hurt your credit rating, particularly if they all have large unpaid balances.
* Less temptation. The more cards you have, the easier it is to rationalize excessive spending. "After all, this card only has $500 on it!" (Never mind that you've got two more that are carrying $5,000 each.) But, remember that your card's credit limits are not like poker bets: you don't have to match (or much less "raise") them. Fewer cards, lower balances: that's your goal.
Summary
We've given you six concrete steps toward getting credit card debt under control. Head to your workbook for some hands-on debt intervention. Hopefully, you share our vision of two credit cards, maximum, with balance paid in full each month.

$500,00 from a car accident in New York. Personal Injury lawsuit - An IBM employee got $500,000 for a car accident
A personal injury occurs when a person has suffered some form of injury, either physical or psychological, as the result of an accident or medical malpractice.
The most common type of personal injury claims are road traffic accidents, accidents at work, tripping accidents, assault claims, accidents in the home, defective product accidents and holiday accidents. Indeed, there are a multitude of types of accident and the term personal injury also incorporates medical and dental accidents (which lead to numerous medical and dental negligence claims every year) and conditions which are often classified as industrial disease cases. Industrial disease type cases include asbestosis and mesothelioma, chest diseases (e.g. emphysema, pneumoconiosis, silicosis, chronic bronchitis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic obstructive airways disease), vibration white finger, occupational deafness, occupational stress, contact dermititus, and repetitive strain injury cases.
Where the accident was the fault of someone else, the injured party may be entitled to monetary compensation from the person whose negligent conduct caused the injury. At least in the United States this system is complex and controversial with critics calling for various forms of tort reform. Attorneys often represent clients on a "contigency basis," in which the attorney does not charge for services until the case is resolved.
• This case was in New York . A woman recovered $500,000 as a total settlement after a car accident. As an employee at IBM Corporation with a stellar record, she was forced to miss about one year of work off and on over 4 years. Given that she was a wage earner, the insurer agreed to pay $500,000 to settle the case.

Blackberry Storm - a touch smartphone made its debut in the US on November 21 2008
The Blackberry Storm is suppose to be release a month earlier. Verizon started selling the BlackBerry Storm on November 21, 2008, a smartphone with a touch screen. Verizon sells it for $199.99 with a two-year contact and after a $50 mail-in rebate, Blackberry Phones are the mob-e-mail leaders and the Storm release is the most direct shot at the iPhone. Lines were around the block when it came out and the phones are expected to be sold out. But by December 15 or earlier, the company will be making sure that Storm will be available in shelves of retailers for the holiday shopping season.
Unlike the iPhone, the Storm features a touch screen that depresses slightly when pressed, giving users the feel of a soft click. The letters on the screen will also light up when pressed. It has a back botton which the iphone lacks. I like the Blackberry Storm because it will allow you to check your email inside the New York Subways. BlackBerry handsets also boast robust e-mail capabilities that have famously attracted users such as President-elect Barack Obama.
More features of the Blackberry storm:
CAMERA:The Storm has 3.2 megapixels vs 2 megapixels on iphone. The Storm has image stabilization, white balance, autofocus, variable zoom and flash. It captures videos.
BATTERY: 2 weeks in standby and up to about 5½ hours using Verizon's CDMA network or overseas on Vodafone's GSM network.

The Nokia 5800 is designed for young folks whose lives revolve around music. The $407 price tag, before taxes and subsidies, is more than a third below that of an unsubsidized iPhone. And the 5800 will be available from a range of telcom companies, unlike the iPhone, which is officially available only from select providers such as O2 (TEF) in Britain or T-Mobile (DT) in Germany.
why is the Nokia 5800 a neat gadget?

cheap auto insurance - (cheap means having the best affordable coverage)
Have you been thinking about buying auto insurance online but aren’t sure whether it's the best way to go? There are many benefits to buying auto insurance online. Once you try it, you'll wonder why you waited so long!
Buying Auto Insurance Online Saves You Time and Money
Always shop around for cheap auto insurance. Cheap means having the same coverage. I know there are cheap ones out there, you just gotta find them. I did my shopping for auto insurance two ways. One is directly calling the insurance company through the phone and getting a quote. As well as using the internet providing data in getting a quote. After dealing with at least 3 insurance companies through the phone and the internet, the cheapest is through the internet. From my experience, getting a quote online from at least 3 insurance company really paid off. There is really a big difference. Its schocking because its in the hundreds. I was able to save money by just doing a 5 minute online quote from 3 insurance company. After my car accident, i realized to take auto insurance seriously unlike before my auto accident.
Car accident and personal injury lawyer - get rich- find the best personal injusry lawyer
I was involved in a car accident last year of 2006 in New York City. It happened while I was on my vacation from work. My toyota was rear ended by a speeding car. The rear of my car was totally wreck. I was such in a bad shape physically and spiritually. I was so angry at the person who rear ended me, that I wanted to kill him for making my life in such a mess. First, I no longer have a car that gets me to work, I need to go to a physical therapist and all the paperwork that i have to furnish to the insurance company and my lawyer.
Thanks to a great lawyer from a law firm in lower Manhattan. I was able to get my car fix from Toyota and got $15,000 from my sufferings. My lawyers were able to get compensation for my injuries resulting from somebodies negligence. My lawyers only gets paid if the case is won or settled. These type of law firms also handles auto, bus, train, pedistrian, construction accidents, slips/trip/fall,lead paint poisoning, medical malpractice, defective products, wrongful death, general negligence, dental and nursing home negligence and etc. I have seen so many ads, im glad i didnt ignore them because those ads are for real. I can vouch for them because i am a client.
